 January 16, 2010 - March 17, 2024 Rusty was my heart dog of a lifetime. He was a warrior in competition and also to the end, with the challenges of being at the great age of 14 years. We had a partnership that was born out of respect and love. Rusty was the ultimate team player. I remember so many times, watching him pin that tough bird. Rusty came out of the last litter that we bred ourselves. I knew we were meant to be together, almost from the time he opened his eyes and started walking over to the side of the whelping box to greet me. He just had a way of looking at me, the bond was already there. Little did I know then of the fantastic journey that we would go on to share together. Rusty took me to heights that I couldn't have imagined, I am so grateful for him. A Canadian dog, he had success in the US as well. We travelled to many provinces and states, competing in weekend trials and Nationals. His accomplishments included - 165.5 All-Age points (88.5 US/77 Canada) 21 All-Age wins #1 Open dog in Canada in 2016 5 times Finalist Canadian National/National Amateur Finalist 2018 US National Amateur Winner 2019 Canadian National Amateur Three-time Double Header Winner (1 US/2 Canada) 26 US Derby points Most of all Rusty, you were our best buddy. What a life you had. Your paw prints are forever on our hearts. Rest in peace our sweet boy. |
